Carlos Batts is an award winning artist, photographer and director. His artwork has appeared on book covers and fashion magazines, as well as in music videos, comic books and movies.
Currently, Carlos has three internationally distributed hardbound coffee table books, all of which document a wide variety of sub-cultures: Wild Skin (Edition Ruess 2001), Crazy Sexy Hollywood (Edition Ruess 2003) and American Gothic (Scapegoat Publishing 2005).
“It’s very impressive to see him succeed, time and time again, in finding new and surprising erotic ideas.”
“I think now our generation has the opportunity to influence society and make a new history of art and sexual acceptance… I feel as an artist the work has to have some sort of voice to spark a conversation about subject matter in which you are creating. I try to take the chance in my work to broaden the viewers’ ideas about whom and what we think is sexy.”
- Carlos Batts, Interviewed by Louise Bak in Toro Magazine
His directorial resume includes both independent features and underground art films. Distributed by various mainstream outlets, his titles include: Voluptuous Biker Babes, Kiss Attack, Young Hollywood, as well as Alter Ego and Voluptuous Life.
Born in Baltimore, Batts tragically passed on October 23, 2013. He is survived by his wife and muse, April Flores. Glamazons was Carlos’s first film released through HeartCore Films.
